100K RESISTOR FOR SAFETY
The Cord have a built in about 100k Ohm resistor so that in the very unlikely event of an Earth fault or Wiring error socket, the protection resistance would limit the current to a safe level and prevent an electric shock.
HOW TO TEST THE CONTUNITY OF THE CORD CORRECTLY?
The measurement range of your multimeter needs to be greater than 100k, otherwise you might not obtain correct readings. We suggest that you adjust the multimeter to 200k for the resistance and then test it. Value display about 100k, work well.
